Background
Dixie Kaetsu has served on the Board of Directors of Bay Clinic since 2008. She is recently retired after 40 years of service with the County of Hawaii. Her last position was Managing Director, the principal management aid to the Mayor of Hawaii Island, responsible for budgetary recommendations, evaluations of department and agencies, and establishing administrative standards and policies for the county departments and agencies. Prior to this position, she was employed as the County of Hawaii, Controller and Accountant, and has provided accounting services to various Hilo businesses. She received a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Government and Economics, with an emphasis in business administration and accounting from the University of Redlands. She is also active in the League of Women Voters, and has served as a former church council member of Christ Lutheran Church. Her expertise includes knowledge and commitment to the community, State and community agencies, auditing and accounting.

Personal Statement
"I worked for the County of Hawaii for 30 years, 22 of which were in the finance field and 8 years of which were as the Managing Director. My experience in government accounting and management can be useful in these challenging times, and serving on the Bay Clinic Board of Directors is giving me an opportunity to serve the community and contribute to the good and necessary work done by the Bay Clinic".
